Sheryl Sandberg: Why we have too few women leaders

Featured in the Times 2012 list of the 100 most influential people in the world, Sheryl Sandberg is a name to be reckoned with in the business world. After being the COO of Facebook for four years, in May 2013, she was the first woman to be elected to the company’s board of directors. Sheryl is not only a phenomenally successful business executive, she is also championing the cause of a more equitable gender ratio in the work arena and how as a society we can help women achieve the right work-home balance. Sheryl Sandberg’s foundation and bestselling book ‘Lean In’, offers radical solutions to the internal and external factors that keep women from achieving their goals.

Here is an interesting and inspiring video from the TEDWomen Series, where Sheryl delves into the factors that prevent women from reaching the top of their careers. Sheryl shares three significant pieces of advice for women to excel in their professions.
